A Fimber driver is a woman that is an independent contractor.  An independent contractor is a non-employee who is running their own business, similar to a freelance job or sole proprietorship.

You must provide a valid driver's license, vehicle registration number and vehicle insurance certificate. In addition, you must at least be 21 years old. We will also assess your driving experience and vehicle characteristics.

For our committed drivers during our Oslo pilot program, you will be invited to our office and we will install the app directly onto your phone.  Fimber supports both Android and iOS mobile operating systems.

Yes, we offer an initial in-person training session when you come to our office to install the Fimber app.  Plus, you’ll get a chance to connect with other Fimber drivers and your Fimber team.

Fimber doesn’t withhold any taxes from your compensation. An independent contractor is a non-employee who is running their own business, similar to a freelance job or sole proprietorship. You would have to report your income, but you could also have some deductions like the cost of your cell phone, goodies you provide your passengers, fuel, administrative cost, parking and tolls, interest on car loans and credit card transaction fees.

As a Fimber driver, you use your own vehicle to pick up passengers and drive them to the desired destinations in your city. You will be paid for each completed trip.

Ask to borrow from someone you know. Maybe you know someone who has a car that you can borrow from? Make sure you have written authorization from the car owner.
